We are seeking independent contractors with expertise in Audio Visual support to set up and operate media equipment for live events. As an AV technician, you will be responsible for organizing and installing various equipment such as projectors, microphones, video monitors, sound boards, and scenic elements.

The Opportunity
We are seeking independent contractors with expertise in Audio Visual support to set up and operate media equipment for live events. As an AV technician, you will be responsible for organizing and installing various equipment such as projectors, microphones, video monitors, sound boards, and scenic elements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Event Coordinators to discuss audio, lighting, video, and scenic requirements.
- Setup and install microphones, lights, video monitors, projectors, speakers, and video cameras.
- Conduct sound, visual, and performance quality checks on AV equipment.
- Operate sound and visual equipment during live events.
- Troubleshoot equipment to ensure events run smoothly.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients and venue staff.
- Work in a fast-paced environment where input and adaptability are valued.
- Varying schedule may include evenings, holidays, weekends, and extended hours.
- Protect company equipment and report any damages to respective personnel.
- Disassemble audio and visual equipment and pack up after the event.
- Previous experience working as an AV technician.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- High level of physical fitness and ability to lift heavy equipment.
- Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding, or work at heights.
- Organizational and implementing skills to complete projects by deadline.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- A keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- A teachable disposition and willingness to continue education.
- Flexibility to work outside job description when necessary.
