Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of low voltage systems including surveillance equipment, Access Control, Multi room Audio, Surround Sound, Lighting control and Automation Systems. This role requires proficiency in using hand tools and reading schematics, as well as being organized and being able to communicate. The Low Voltage Technician will work closely with clients to ensure their needs are met effectively and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot low voltage systems including Audio/ Video and various smart home systems
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine system requirements.
- Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to perform installations and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with NEC standards during all installations.
- Collaborate with clients to assess their needs and provide recommendations for system enhancements.
- Document all work performed and maintain accurate records of installations and repairs.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in low voltage technology.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certification in low voltage technology is preferred.
- Proficiency in cabling techniques for low voltage installations.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients professionally.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team environment.
- Familiarity with safety protocols related to low voltage work is essential.
