Duties
- Engage in outside sales activities by reaching out to prospective clients through community events, networking, and telemarketing efforts to generate new leads.
- Conduct thorough needs analysis to understand clients’ health coverage requirements and preferences.
- Present tailored insurance solutions clearly, highlighting plan benefits, costs, and coverage details to prospective customers.
- Negotiate terms and assist clients in selecting the most suitable health insurance plans, ensuring they understand policy features and benefits.
- Manage sales administration tasks such as maintaining accurate records of client interactions, follow-ups, and policy documentation.
- Educate clients on benefits administration, HIPAA compliance (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), and other relevant regulations to ensure informed decision-making.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop outreach strategies that enhance brand awareness and attract new clients.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and maintaining ongoing relationships with clients for future renewals or referrals.
- Licensing Preparation Period
- During the initial licensing preparation period, the employee will focus primarily on completing the required pre-licensing coursework and preparing for the state licensing examination. This period is expected to last approximately three (3) to four (4) weeks from the start date. During this time, the employee’s primary responsibility will be to complete the pre-licensing program and successfully pass the state licensing examination. Sales expectations during this preparation period will be limited, as the employee will be dedicating time to studying and completing the licensing requirements
Skills
- Strong outside sales experience with a proven ability to generate leads and close deals effectively.
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms while ensuring client satisfaction.
- Background in retail sales or telemarketing is highly desirable for engaging diverse audiences confidently.
