AV Innovative Design (AVID) is seeking a skilled and motivated Service Technician to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering high-quality audiovisual and technology solutions in commercial environments.

Key Responsibilities
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair AV, IT, and low-voltage systems across client sites
• Perform routine maintenance and service calls for installed systems including:
• Audio/Video systems
• Video conferencing platforms
• Control systems (Crestron, Extron, etc.)
• Network-connected devices
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to clients
• Read and interpret system schematics, drawings, and documentation
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to resolve issues efficiently
• Document service activities, resolutions, and system updates
• Ensure all work meets AVID quality standards and client expectations
• Ability to double as a field technician if needed
• Managing and working within company service ticketing system

Qualifications
• 2 years of experience in AV installation, service, or IT support
• Strong troubleshooting skills in AV and basic networking
• Familiarity with systems such as Crestron, Extron, QSC, Biamp, or similar
• Understanding of signal flow, cabling, and system integration
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites
• Proficiency in Microsoft office

• CTS certification (or working toward it)
• Experience with commercial AV environments (corporate, hospitality, etc.)
• Basic networking knowledge (IP addressing, switches, VLANs)
