What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Engineer position at AV Company?
The Field Service A/V Engineer is primarily responsible for troubleshooting, re-installing, and maintaining A/V equipment, in addition to installing and servicing systems in the most efficient and effective manner to minimize downtime and achieve max performance. This role is also accountable for communicating system performance to the customer and our Service or Installation Departments. Additional Responsibilities:Assist the Technical Operations team performing installation and system commissioning work as neededField Commissioning of AV Systems and other Engineering related dutiesTravel to client sites and occasional out-of-town travel as necessaryThe final commissioning of audio-visual equipment, including, but not limited to audio DSPs, CODECs, switchers, control systems, VTC systems, and video processorsCreate user guides and train end users on how to use their A/V control systemsRefine current processes, develop a better workflow, and make recommendationsClear communication, documentation and organization of paperwork, tools and company vehicleWork closely with the Technical Operations team, the Installation Manager and the Manager of AV Integration while assuring a professional and safe working environmentOther duties as required or assigned by company management
