We are looking for a hands-on Project Manager who can lead from the front—someone who has come up through the field, understands systems deeply, and can manage technicians, projects, and quality at a high level.
Position Overview
The Project Manager will oversee field technicians, manage project execution from kickoff to completion, and ensure all systems are installed, commissioned, and delivered to company standards.
This is not a desk-only role. The ideal candidate has strong field experience and can step in when needed to troubleshoot, guide, and ensure projects are completed correctly.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Manage multiple AV and low-voltage projects simultaneously
- Coordinate schedules, manpower, materials, and timelines
- Communicate with clients, GCs, and internal team members
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within scope
Team Leadership
- Direct and manage field technicians and subcontractors
- Provide guidance, training, and accountability for tech performance
- Conduct job site visits to ensure proper execution
- Step in to support techs when technical challenges arise
Quality Control (QC)
- Enforce installation standards and best practices
- Perform final walkthroughs and system verification
- Ensure all work meets AV Calibrations quality expectations
- Identify and correct issues before project closeout
Commissioning & Technical Oversight
- Oversee system commissioning (AV, network, control, cameras, etc.)
- Verify system functionality, programming, and performance
- Troubleshoot complex system issues when needed
- Ensure proper labeling, documentation, and as-builts
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 10 years in AV or low-voltage systems installation
- Proven experience as a Lead Technician or Commissioning Technician
- Strong understanding of:
- Audio Visual systems
- Network infrastructure
- Cameras, access control, and alarms
- Structured cabling
- Ability to read and interpret plans, schematics, and scopes of work
- Experience managing or leading field teams
Required Skills

- Strong organizational and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in project management within AV or construction environments
- Certifications (CTS, CTS-I, networking, or manufacturer certifications)
- Experience with documentation systems (D-Tools, etc.)
