Position Summary
The Manager – Contract Management is responsible for leading a team of Contract Management professionals. This position is a player coach role that ensures the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of all contracts related to equipment finance. Key responsibilities include contract validation, regulatory adherence, and operational assurance. The role supports internal teams and external partners by maintaining high standards of documentation and process integrity.
This role collaborates directly with Legal, Sales Support, Treasury and Accounting.
In this role, the Manager will also be expected to proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and implement strategies that enhance workflow efficiency. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential, as the position requires regularly monitoring contract metrics and reporting findings to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Oversight
• Direct the daily operations of the Contract Management team, serving as the primary point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to established service levels and quality standards throughout the team.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, including overseeing the onboarding and training of new associates.
Collateral Documentation & Compliance
• Oversee the review and processing of loan and lease documentation, ensuring documents are accurate and complete.
• Oversee and validate Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) filings to ensure proper lien placement and collateral protection for financed equipment and vehicles.
• Manage and review perfection processes in Canadian provinces, ensuring compliance with applicable Personal Property Security Act (PPSA) regulations and provincial filing requirements.
• Coordinate with legal and operations teams to ensure timely and accurate filing and release of security interests.
• Administer title procedures to secure assets according to state regulations.
• Maintain clear and accessible contract records for pledge transfer or syndication activities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner with Treasury to align funding requirements.
• Collaborate daily with Legal, Sales Support, Credit Underwriting, and other internal teams to resolve exceptions and ensure smooth operations.
Process Improvement & Strategic Support
• Document and refine workflows and policies to enhance operational efficiency.
• Apply analytical thinking and creativity to resolve complex, non-routine issues.
• Lead and contribute to special projects.
Qualifications

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related business discipline; equivalent work experience considered.
Prior experience in the financial services industry, particularly in leasing and structured asset finance, is highly desirable.
