Autumn Woods Apartments is looking for reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in maintaining our beautiful apartment community in Crawfordsville, Indiana.
Position Overview
We are looking for a dependable, hands-on professional who takes pride in keeping our property in excellent condition. This is a full-time position offering stable hours and the opportunity to make a real difference in our residents’ living environment.
Schedule
- Full-time: 40 hours per week
- Monday through Friday
- Rotation on-call for maintenance emergencies (evenings and weekends as needed)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repairs throughout the apartment community
- Troubleshoot and repair issues involving HVAC systems, electrical, carpentry, and plumbing
- Replace and install water heaters
- Change out plugs, switches, and other electrical components
- Complete work orders efficiently and to high standards
- Complete Unit Turns in a timely manner for new move ins
- Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies on a rotating on-call basis
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Preferred Skills & Experience
While not all skills are required, the ideal candidate will have experience or working knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
- HVAC systems
- Electrical work (including changing plugs and switches)
- Carpentry
- Plumbing - (replacing faucets, toilets, hot water heaters)
We are willing to train motivated candidates who demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
Requirements
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift moderate to heavy objects and work in various conditions (indoor/outdoor)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with residents
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Background check required for this position
