Job Description:
Autumn Trace of Madison is seeking a caring and dependable Dietary Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in providing a positive dining experience for our residents while supporting a warm, respectful, and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Serve food and beverages to residents in a courteous and professional manner
- Take resident meal orders and assist with menu selections as needed
- Address residents by name and become familiar with their food and beverage preferences
- Bus tables, set tables, and maintain a clean and organized dining area
- Operate the dishwasher and properly store clean dishes
- Assist residents by moving mobility assistive devices away from table areas and returning them when residents are ready to leave
- Mop kitchen and dining area floors according to sanitation standards
- Help create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, positivity, and calm throughout the residence
Qualifications:
- Prior food service experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Compassionate attitude toward seniors
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to follow sanitation and safety guidelines
