Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive experience in behavioral health and addiction medicine. This role involves providing exceptional patient care through accurate assessments, medication administration, and coordination of treatment plans. The Nurse will utilize advanced EMR/EHR systems and adhere to strict HIPAA regulations while delivering compassionate support to diverse patient populations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations.
- Administer medications via injections.
- Document all patient interactions accurately using EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks in compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Coordinate discharge planning and case management for optimal patient outcomes across inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Provide education on health coaching, medication management, nutrition, and disease prevention tailored to individual needs.
- Assist in diagnostic evaluations including laboratory specimen collection.
Experience
- Proven experience in behavioral health and addiction medicine.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or similar platforms.
- Experience working with individuals of all ages.
- Knowledge of medical coding systems such as ICD-9/10 and CPT coding for accurate documentation and billing purposes.
