We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Flat Rate Technician to join our dynamic automotive service team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicle systems efficiently and accurately, ensuring customer satisfaction and vehicle safety. Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on automotive engine systems, powertrain components, and vehicle systems using automotive diagnostic tools and schematics.
• Conduct engine repairs, including diesel engine maintenance and overhaul, ensuring adherence to manufacturer specifications.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and automotive repair equipment to execute repairs efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
• Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics accurately to troubleshoot electrical issues across various vehicle models.
• Perform wheel alignments, suspension adjustments, and vehicle maintenance tasks to optimize vehicle performance.
• Handle heavy lifting safely during repairs involving engine removal or transmission work; adhere to manual handling protocols.
• Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repair procedures clearly, estimating repair times, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.

Skills

• Proven dealership experience with a strong understanding of automotive repair procedures.
• Proficiency in automotive diagnostics using industry-standard tools and software.
• Solid mechanical knowledge of automotive engine technology, powertrain components, and vehicle electrical systems.
• Experience repairing standard passenger cars across various makes and models.
• Ability to interpret automotive wiring diagrams accurately for electrical repairs.
• Familiarity with GM vehicles or similar brands is a plus; experience with heavy-duty vehicles is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Capable of working with hand tools, power tools and other specialized automotive repair machinery.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance best practices to ensure longevity and optimal performance of customer vehicles.
