Autosafety Driving School has an opening for a full-time behind-the-wheel driving instructor to work in the Tampa Bay area.

Autosafety Driving School is a local company.

You MUST have a VALID driver's license, a clean background and be reliable.

We are growing and are ready to expand.

The ideal candidates know that they enjoy teaching and have a specific interest in helping train safe and confident drivers.

They have excellent people-skills and enjoy working with all ages, in particular teens and young adults.

They are able to communicate clearly, professionally and precisely both verbally and in writing. They are calm, and able to adapt instructional style per student needs.

They are organized and able to follow the given schedule.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide driving instruction to students of all ages and skill levels
• Courteous and respectful interaction with students and parents, and other drivers.
• Professional presentation as a representative of Autosafety Driving School - both face-to-face and on-the-road
• Keep driver education cars neat, clean, and smoke-free and pet free

Requirements

• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
• Prior experience with teaching, coaching, training, or provision of some type of instruction
• Availability of approximately 30-40 hours per week to include some weekends
• Valid Florida driver’s license with no accidents, no DUIs, and no more than 2 moving violations in the past 5 years
• Pass finger-printed background check
• Substance-free work environment.
• Demonstrate ability to confidently and safely drive within city traffic with utmost courtesy while obeying all traffic laws and customs.
• Demonstrate ability to recognize and verbalize potential hazards and corrective action for any situation.
• Demonstrate ability to maneuver a car in heavy traffic, tight spaces, and all forms of parking.
• Be able to pass a strict driving skills evaluation.
• Obtain and maintain Florida Driving Instructor training and certification
• Must have cell phone, internet access, and basic computer skills

Compensation

• We schedule and pay by the lesson. Each lesson is an hour and a half long (90 minutes)
• To ensure quality of lessons we limit instructors to four lessons per day.
• During training and pre-certification, $15/hr
• Once you are given a schedule Pay: $18/hr with room for growth
