Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychologist to join our dynamic behavioral health team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive mental health assessments and support to diverse patient populations. Providing therapy services is not required, though is a possibility as well in this role. Your expertise will help individuals of all ages navigate mental health challenges, develop coping strategies, and achieve their personal wellness goals. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychological assessments, including diagnostic evaluations and psychological testing, to identify patient needs and develop personalized treatment plans
- Manage crisis intervention situations with prompt, effective responses to ensure patient safety and well-being
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans for patients with complex mental health or behavioral issues
- Complete reports in a timely manner
- Document all patient interactions accurately in medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and facility policies
- Ability to delegate testing as needed
- Supervise clinical staff and interns, offering guidance on best practices in mental health counseling and patient care
- Facilitate specialized programs for populations such as children & families, geriatrics, individuals with autism or disabilities, and those experiencing PTSD or addiction challenges
- Conduct intake assessments for new patients, ensuring comprehensive understanding of their mental health history and current needs
- Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver remote counseling sessions while maintaining high standards of confidentiality and patient engagement
Experience
- Proven experience working with children, families, adults, or geriatrics in clinical settings
- Demonstrated expertise in crisis intervention and managing acute mental health episodes
- Prior hospital experience preferred, especially within inpatient or outpatient behavioral health units
- Hands-on experience with psychological testing and diagnostic evaluation tools
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations related to medical records management and patient privacy protection
- Familiarity with telehealth technology platforms for remote patient care delivery
- Strong background in research related to behavioral health or mental health counseling methods
- Experience working with individuals with autism or disabilities is highly desirable
