AutoNation Sales Associates interact with hundreds of customers – online, over the phone and in person – to help guide their vehicle purchase in our no-haggle sales environment. With your outstanding communication and listening skills, you’ll help our customers select their perfect vehicle, negotiate terms to ensure that payment options meet their lifestyles, budgets, and expectations and close the deal. Our Sales Associates provide an exceptional customer experience both before and after purchase, driving loyalty by following up to ensure customer satisfaction and helping transition customers to the Service department to support their ownership experience. Who would I interact with?
The Sales Associates interacts daily with Customers, Sales Associates, Sales Managers, Finance Managers, Dealership Service Personnel, Region and Corporate Associates, Trainers, Vendors, and other individuals on an as needed basis.
What are the day-to-day responsibilities?
The AutoNation Automotive Sales Associates is responsible for selling used vehicles in our no-haggle environment, ensuring customer satisfaction and meeting volume standards set by management.
- Interact with hundreds of customers to help guide them in their vehicle purchase, asking questions and listening carefully.
- Search our national inventory of over 100,000 vehicles to help find the perfect match for your customer.
- Describe all optional equipment and accessories available for customer purchase, explain in detail product features and benefits.
- Use outstanding communication and listening skills to help negotiate terms that ensure payment options meet your customers’ lifestyles, budgets, and expectations; close the deal.
- Deliver a minimum number of vehicles each month while maintaining factory CSI expectations
- Provide an exceptional customer experience, driving loyalty by following up to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Help transition customers to our Service departments to support their ownership experience, selling the quality and convenience of service repairs and/or aftermarket parts and accessories available in AutoNation service departments.
What are the requirements for this job?
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and an acceptable, safe driving record
- Drive to set targeted personal income goals consistent with AutoNation’s standards of productivity
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
- 1 years of customer service, sales, or telemarketing/ call center experience preferred
- Proven ability to provide an exceptional customer experience
- The willingness to follow up, and follow-up again, with customers
- Strong computer skills, with the ability to manage multiple applications at once
- Must be self-motivated with strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Spanish bilingual preferred, but not required
Compensation:
- Paid training
- Commission that increases based on production - the more you sell the more you collect
- Yearly bonuses paid every November
