What are the responsibilities and job description for the Auction Dealer Services Clerk position at AutoNation?
What are the day-to-day responsibilities?
- Efficiently entering vehicle information, as provided by sellers, into the auction system. Entering accurate floor prices for all vehicles.
- Maintaining appropriate dealer files and updating as needed.
- Initiating phone calls to customers who have won the bid on a vehicle but not yet paid for it.
- Managing flooring financing by compiling reports and invoices and mailing to each flooring company weekly.
- Entering vehicle inspection and announcement information into the auction system (ASI).
- Working the counter on sale day, registering new dealers, printing bidder badges and answering customer questions.
- Accepting credit card payments for miscellaneous fees such as late fees, buy fees, border permits or storage fees.
- Printing out gate release passes for vehicles that have been sold and paid for.
- Managing a spreadsheet to track bills of lading and invoices for each vehicle.
- Providing back up for the Dealer Registration Associate on an “as needed” basis.
What are the requirements for this job?
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 year of clerical and/or customer service experience required. Auction experience strongly preferred.
- Effective communication skills, problem solving and customer service skills required.
- Good computer software skills required including Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
- Experience with Auction Edge/ASI auction systems a plus.
