We are seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance in accordance with dealer and factory standards. This role requires specialization in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, HVAC, engine tune-up, and electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and review repair orders and perform assigned work efficiently and accurately.
- Diagnose causes of vehicle malfunctions and complete authorized repairs.
- Communicate with the Parts Department to obtain necessary components.
- Tag, save, and turn in parts for warranty or customer requests.
- Inform service advisors of additional work needed or delays in repair completion.
- Document all work performed and conduct road tests to confirm repair quality.
- Ensure vehicles are kept clean and maintain high standards of safety and housekeeping.
- Comply with federal, state, and local regulations governing automotive service work.
- Participate in training and stay current with technical bulletins.
- Strong dedication to customer satisfaction.
- Ability to follow management directions and company policies.
- Professional appearance and excellent communication skills.
- Positive attitude and teamwork to support employee morale.
- Willingness to work varied hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Michigan Mechanic Certification required.
- Certifications in Engine Repair, Steering Suspension, Brakes, HVAC, Engine Tune-Up, and Electrical Systems.
- Ability to read and understand technical instructions and information.
- Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Frequent lifting or moving of up to 25 pounds; occasionally lifting up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to walk, sit, talk, and hear as required.
