CDL Test Driver

Automotive Testing and Development Services, Inc. (ATDS) is seeking experienced and reliable CDL Class A Truck Drivers to support vehicle testing operations in the Caledonia, MN area.

In this role, you will operate heavy-duty vehicles, including 48'–53' tandem axle flatbed and dry van trailers, along predetermined city and highway routes to accumulate mileage as part of vehicle testing programs. Responsibilities:

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety
• Drive assigned test routes, following detailed instructions and driving patterns
• Safely operate a variety of heavy-duty truck configurations, including flatbed, dry van, automatic, and manual transmissions
• Support vehicle data acquisition systems used during testing
• Report vehicle conditions and findings accurately and in a timely manner, while maintaining strict confidentiality of all testing-related information
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations during public road testing

Position Details:

• Type: Full-time, seasonal (approximately 6-month duration)
• Schedule: 5 to 6 days per week
• If operating 5 days per week: Monday–Friday, two 10-hour shifts
• If operating 6 days per week: Monday–Saturday, two 8-hour shifts
• Shift Options: 1st Shift and 2nd Shift

Minimum Requirements:

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Minimum 5 years of CDL driving experience
• Experience operating 48'–53' tandem axle flatbed or dry van trailers
• Clean driving record (no points within the last 10 years)
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening, criminal background check, and driving record check
• Ability to drive vehicles with manual transmissions

Preferred Qualifications:

• Basic to advanced computer skills
• General automotive knowledge
• 5 years of automotive-related driving experience
