We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Automotive Shop Manager to oversee daily operations at our automotive service center. Duties
- Lead and supervise the automotive service team, including technicians and support staff, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery
- Oversee daily shop operations, including scheduling, shift management, and workflow coordination
- Manage inventory control, including parts ordering, stock levels, and purchasing to ensure availability of necessary supplies
- Handle customer interactions, resolve complaints, and ensure customer satisfaction through excellent service and communication skills
- Implement sales strategies to promote services and increase revenue, utilizing retail sales techniques and merchandising skills
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping, payroll processing, and cash handling procedures in compliance with company policies
- Conduct employee orientation, training & development programs to enhance team performance
- Manage POS systems for transactions and sales processing efficiently
- Oversee marketing initiatives to attract new customers and retain existing clients
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work environment
Skills
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities with supervisory experience in retail or automotive settings
- Excellent communication skills with proficiency in bilingual or multilingual communication preferred
- Skilled in negotiation, customer service excellence, and conflict resolution
- Proficient in inventory management, purchasing, bookkeeping, payroll, and cash handling
- Demonstrated ability in retail math, pricing strategies, sales management, and store management
- Experience with training & development programs for staff growth and operational efficiency
- Organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively across administrative tasks such as budgeting, merchandising, stock management, and marketing campaigns
- Familiarity with POS systems, wireless sales tools, and automotive shop management software
- Strong time management skills to handle shift management responsibilities efficiently
- Knowledge of automotive repair processes combined with administrative experience in a retail or service environment
