Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on a wide range of vehicles, including powertrain systems, engines, electrical wiring, and ADAS components using automotive diagnostic tools and schematics.
- Conduct engine repairs and maintenance on both gasoline and diesel engines, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams accurately to troubleshoot electrical issues across various vehicle systems.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting techniques safely to perform mechanical repairs, alignments, and vehicle maintenance tasks.
- Diagnose complex vehicle system problems utilizing automotive diagnostics equipment; identify root causes efficiently for timely repairs.
- Repair and maintain automotive electrical systems, including sensors, wiring harnesses, and electronic modules.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repair procedures clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
Qualifications
- Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic experience working with diverse vehicle brands; familiarity with GM vehicles is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive engine technology, powertrain components, and vehicle systems.
- Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostic tools and interpreting schematics for troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues.
- Skilled in diesel engine repair as well as standard passenger car operation; capable of handling complex engine system repairs.
- Knowledge of ADAS technology and automotive wiring diagram interpretation to support advanced vehicle features.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, alignment equipment, and performing heavy lifting safely.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards for automotive repair and maintenance tasks.
