Do you have a knack for data, an eye for detail, and a love for organizing things just right? APH is looking for an Inventory Clerk who not only excels at managing inventory data but also brings analytical insight and Excel savvy to the table.
As a key part of our team, you'll help ensure inventory accuracy, streamline data processes, and support smooth operations across our stores and corporate departments.
- Inventory Reporting & Analysis: Regularly compile, analyze, and interpret inventory data to provide actionable insights for various teams.
- Excel & System Use: Leverage Excel and internal systems (APH data processing) to extract, clean, and transform data for reporting.
- Program Execution: Run designated inventory programs and tools to gather necessary data.
- Reporting: Generate standard and ad hoc reports for internal stakeholders, summarizing findings in a clear and concise format.
- Problem Solving: Proactively flag data anomalies and operational issues, collaborating with Inventory Control and MIS to resolve them.
- Internal Communication: Serve as a helpful resource to internal teams, responding quickly to data requests or inventory-related inquiries.
- Team Support: Step in to support teammates and managers during busy periods or special projects.
- Store Support: Travel occasionally to stores to assist with inventory changeovers and serve as an Inventory Lead on-site.
- Ongoing Learning: Stay current with company systems, inventory practices, and software tools through regular training.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
- Excel Proficiency: Comfortable using functions, formulas, pivot tables, and other Excel tools.
- Tech-Savvy: Experience with inventory systems and data tools; ability to learn proprietary software.
- Detail-Oriented: A sharp eye for accuracy in data entry, reporting, and communication.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills—able to convey information clearly and professionally.
- Team Player: Works well independently and within a collaborative team environment.
- Time Management: Organized and able to meet reporting deadlines reliably.
- Customer Focus: Friendly and solution-oriented when working with internal customers.
- Associate degree (2-year) or equivalent experience in inventory, data entry, or related field
- Automotive industry knowledge is a plus
- Experience with inventory changeover or retail environments preferred
