What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Generalist position at Automotive Keys Group (AKG)?
The HR Generalist plays a key role in building and maintaining a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace. This role will work closely with all members of Human Resources and support the entire organization with Human Resource initiatives, including employee engagement, addressing employee relations matters, full cycle recruiting activities, policy administration, performance management and training and development administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle recruiting process
- Administer leave management programs, including FMLA, ADA requests, and workers’ compensation claim

Facilitate and administer new team member orientation, including introducing company policies, team member handbook, and engagement and culture initiatives

Assist with facilitating exit interviews and communicating feedback to senior leadership

Manage and update communication screens with new hire information, birthdays, service anniversaries, team member engagement activities and other company related information

Administer team member engagement surveys, compile results and make recommendations for action planning

Manage administration of quarterly and annual employee performance and compensation review process

Administer training programs, such as leadership training, and safety and security offerings

Gather useful HR metrics, such as time to hire, applicant sourcing resources and return on investment, and employee turnover themes and rates

Serve as back-up to payroll activities

Maintain employee records and paperwork

Assist with other Human Resource projects, as needed
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
- SPHR or other HR related certification preferred
- 2-3 years; experience in an HR Coordinator or Generalist role with a small-to-mid-size company, preferably with an hourly workforce
- 1-2 years of hands-on, full-cycle recruiting experience
- Bilingual - Spanish preferred
- HRIS experience required; Paycom preferred
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
- General knowledge of employment laws and best practices
- Ability to support change management and continuous improvement initiatives
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Salary Range: $70,000 – $76,000 annually

Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
