Duties
- Perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics using advanced automotive electrical systems and schematics to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, wheel alignments, and suspension inspections to keep vehicles running smoothly.
- Repair and replace critical components including transmissions, powertrain elements, brakes, shocks & struts, and steering systems.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently to perform repairs with precision and safety.
- Service air brake systems, diesel engines, and assist with auto body repairs when necessary.
- Execute wheel alignments, tire services, and suspension work to optimize vehicle handling and safety.
- Conduct ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations to ensure modern safety features function correctly.
- Interpret vehicle schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical issues.
- Maintain detailed service records, prepare auto estimates, and communicate repair needs clearly to customers with excellent customer service skills.
- Support ongoing maintenance tasks such as welding, vehicle inspections, and general automotive repair projects to uphold high standards of quality.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic with dealership experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, powertrain components, transmissions, and engine repair—especially diesel engines.
- Familiarity with ADAS calibration, air brake systems, auto estimating software, and GM vehicles is a plus.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals for complex repairs.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive repair tools safely and effectively.
- Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with a proactive approach to vehicle maintenance and repair tasks.
- Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license; ASE certifications or equivalent credentials are highly desirable.
