Delivery Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Driver to join our team. This role involves operating a box truck, performing heavy lifting, and managing the loading and unloading of products. The Driver will be responsible for route driving, maintaining vehicle safety, and providing excellent service to our clients.

Duties

• Safely operate a box truck for deliveries and pickups.
• Load and unload goods efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
• Perform route driving to designated locations, ensuring timely deliveries.
• Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with clients.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance.
• Assist in warehouse duties when not on the road, including inventory management.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
• Experience with commercial driving and operating box trucks is essential.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks regularly.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while on the road.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles, including manual transmission models, to deliver goods across designated routes.
• Load and unload cargo efficiently using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts, ensuring proper handling of heavy items.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety standards are met.
• Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries, addressing questions or concerns courteously.
• Plan delivery routes effectively to maximize efficiency and meet scheduled deadlines.
• Assist with warehouse tasks when necessary, including moving inventory and organizing shipments.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and vehicle maintenance records.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with a strong background in route driving and customer service.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or similar vehicles preferred.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual tasks associated with loading/unloading cargo safely.
• Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual transmissions is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor when interacting with customers and team members.
• Prior experience in warehouse environments or moving operations is advantageous.

Pay: $17.75 - $20.00 per hour
