Hours: M-F 8 am - 5 pm

Location: On Site - Mandan, ND

Compensation: $19.00 hour

Responsibilities:

A Customer Relations Representative plays a fundamental role in helping to achieve our growth objectives. You will learn about the automotive and industrial lubrication field and quickly become familiar with customer needs.

• Greet customers and provide friendly, professional, and timely service at the counter and over the phone.
• Determine customer needs by asking appropriate questions and accurately identifying required products.
• Look up automotive products using catalogs, computer systems, diagrams, and other available resources.
• Provide customers with accurate information regarding pricing, availability, product options, and estimated arrival times.
• Process parts sales, invoices, returns, exchanges, credits, and special orders accurately.
• Communicate with customers regarding backorders, special orders, substitutions, and order status.
• Build strong customer relationships and provide solutions that encourage repeat business.
• Recommend appropriate related or additional products when beneficial to the customer.
• Monitor stock levels and communicate recurring shortages or inventory needs to management.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and professional counter.
• Follow company procedures related to pricing, discounts, returns, warranties, inventory, and cash handling.
• Research and resolve customer concerns, order discrepancies, and products related issues.
• Develop and maintain strong knowledge of company products and applicable systems.
• Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure customers receive excellent service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous parts counter, automotive, industrial, warehouse, or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to learn and identify a wide variety of parts and products.
• Comfortable using computers, point-of-sale systems, inventory software, and electronic product catalogs.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize multiple customer requests in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Basic math skills and ability to accurately process transactions.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team.
• Dependable attendance and a positive, professional attitude.
