Job Overview
Elmwood CDJR is looking for an experienced Assistant Service Manager / Dispatcher to help keep our service department operating efficiently while delivering an outstanding customer experience.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands dealership service operations, can prioritize workflow, and enjoys working with technicians, advisors, and customers.
Responsibilities
- Dispatch repair orders to technicians based on skill level, efficiency, and workload
- Assist the Service Manager with daily department operations
- Monitor shop productivity and technician efficiency
- Help maintain a steady workflow throughout the day
- Support service advisors with customer concerns and repair scheduling
- Ensure repair orders are complete and accurate
- Coordinate with the parts department to minimize delays
- Help maintain high CSI and customer satisfaction
- Assist with coaching and developing service staff
- Step in wherever needed to keep the department running smoothly
Qualifications
- Previous dealership service department experience required
- Dispatching experience strongly preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to make quick, sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Comfortable working with dealership management systems
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
