EXPERIENCED AUTOMOTIVE BODY SHOP UPHOLSTERER

Muncie Imports and Classics is currently looking to hire an experienced Automotive Restoration Upholsterer. We are an Award winning full restoration services company for import and classic cars. Candidates must have experience with reupholstering the seats and trim of a vehicle’s interior.  We are looking for EXPERIENCED, CAREER-MINDED individuals ONLY.  We are offering top pay and a comprehensive benefits package.  Out of town candidates are encouraged to apply.  Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.

Primary responsibilities and qualifications include, but are not limited to:

·   Replace and repair automotive trim and upholstery

·   Ensure sewing machines are in good working order

·   Work from patterns to cut, bond, and assemble pieces to final design

·   Install strappings

·   Hem and length materials

·   Upholstery fabrication, welding, and restoration

·   Ability to measure, cut, sew, multiple materials including vinyl

·   Experience with hand tools, glue, cement, and staples

·   Knowledge of various fabrics and techniques

·   Attention to detail and ability to verify components installed correctly
