What are the responsibilities and job description for the Multi-Spindle Machine Operator / Production Support position at Automation Products?
Job Description
New operators will be trained in machine operation, gaging, tool wear characteristics, and blueprint reading. You will learn best practices to keep machines running efficiently, including chip removal and cutting oil reclaim. Operators will also assist with product removal, transport, packaging for shipment, and operation of secondary equipment (saws, belt sanders, deburring equipment). Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Probationary 4–8 weeks: 1st Shift (Mon–Thurs, 6AM–4PM)
- Day Shift range (4AM–6PM) available with management approval
- High school diploma
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Blueprint reading
- Basic math skills, including fractions and decimals
- Good record-keeping
