Automation Personnel Services is seeking a skilled Slitter Operator for a company based in Columbus, MS. 18.00 to $26.00 per hour Schedule and Hours A Shift : Mon-Thurs 6am-4pmB Shift : Mon-Thurs 4pm-2amC Shift : Fri-Sun 6am-6pm Slitter Operator Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up and operate slitting machines according to job specifications.
- Load and unload materials, ensuring proper alignment and tension.
- Monitor and inspect finished products for quality, making adjustments as needed.
- Troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance on equipment.
- Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation.
- Follow all safety regulations and company procedures.
- Assist with material handling and storage as needed.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to meet production goals. Slitter Operator Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous experience as a slitter operator or in a similar manufacturing role preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and specifications.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and rulers.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality control standards.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
