What are the responsibilities and job description for the Panel Assembler/Packaging Floater position at Automation Displays?
Position Summary:
- The Panel Assembler and Packaging floater will be part of a World Class Manufacturing Team that builds custom control panels and interfaces. Team members will provide excellent customer service by meeting customer due dates, providing quality workmanship, and striving for continuous improvement.
Essential Job Functions:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Wire and assemble control panels according to standard work instructions and job specifications.
- Log job information into job tracking software ensuring timely and accurate data.
- Operate power tools and other equipment in an appropriate and safe manner.
- Maintain equipment, tools, and work area in a neat and orderly fashion using 5S practices.
- Crosstrain and learn other areas in order to cover production and packaging when needed.
- Maintain a high awareness of personal safety at all times and follow policies and procedures.
- Follow Assembly, Materials, and Timekeeping record keeping practices by promptly and accurately logging pertinent information.
- Follow ISO9001 and ISO27001 standards and policies to ensure Quality and information security policies are being adhered to.
- Keep the Team Lead and Manager informed of problems, opportunities for improvement, questions, or comments, related to topics such as workflow, equipment, procedures/work methods, safety, and employees.
- Responds positively and supports changes in procedures, process, technology, responsibility and assignments. Demonstrates flexibility and creativity in ideas and approach.
- Maintains cooperative and productive working relationships and communications with all customers, fellow team members, suppliers, and external resources.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or assembly environment.
- Strong hand-eye coordination, vision and manual dexterity to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.
- Basic knowledge of using Microsoft Office Products / Computer.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must have a positive attitude, be a self-starter, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs periodically.
