What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping / Receiving / Packer position at Automation Devices, Inc.?
Prepares and packages large and small components, equipment , or delicate apparatus for shipping. Involves planning, preparation, construction and assembly of special containers or wood crates.
Count and confirm accuracy of incoming parts, components, supplies and raw materials, use the computer to receive materials into inventory system, report shortages and damaged materials. Assemble orders for shipment while verifying accuracy against shop orders and plan the most efficient method of crating and packing.
Load and unload delivery trucks and tractor trailers using pallet jacks and fork lifts. Deliver received items to their respective divisions.
Requires the competent use of a fork lift, table and panel saws, drills and air tools. Legible writing skills and attention to detail is necessary. Full time position with benefits. Position starts at $17.50 per hour.
