Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Contract Sales Representative role based in Midland, TX. The Contract Sales Representative will generate new business opportunities, build and maintain relationships with customers in the oil and gas and industrial sectors, and promote Automated Water Solutions’ produced water recycling and frac pond aeration systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include prospecting and qualifying leads, conducting on-site customer visits, preparing and presenting proposals, negotiating contracts, and managing the sales pipeline. The role will collaborate closely with operations and engineering teams to understand system capabilities, pricing, and timelines, ensuring accurate and timely information for customers. The Contract Sales Representative will also track market trends, attend relevant industry events when needed, and provide feedback to leadership on customer needs and competitive activity.
Qualifications
- Proven sales skills, including prospecting, lead qualification, negotiation, and closing in an industrial, energy, or water services environment.
- Strong relationship-building, customer service, and account management capabilities, with the ability to maintain long-term client partnerships.
- Solid communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical solutions in clear, accessible terms.
- Basic technical aptitude or experience related to water treatment, produced water, environmental services, or oilfield operations is highly beneficial.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage a sales territory independently while meeting defined targets and deadlines.
- Familiarity with CRM tools, sales reporting, and Microsoft Office or similar productivity software.
- Ability to work safely in field and industrial environments and to travel regularly within the Permian Basin and possibly other producing regions.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is a plus.
- Prior experience in contract-based sales, business development, or field sales in oil and gas, environmental services, or industrial equipment is preferred.
