ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Marketing & Social Media Intern, you'll support the development and execution of social media campaigns while creating cohesive, on-brand content across platforms, especially Facebook. You'll assist with website updates, promotions, community outreach, and occasional event support, helping strengthen AWS's digital presence. This part-time internship is ideal for a Junior or Senior in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related fields who wants hands-on experience with opportunities for advancement. Agricultural experience is a plus (but not required), and we're happy to train the right candidate. This is a paid part-time role with flexible hours between the hours of 7:30am – 5:30pm Mon – Fri (we can set up a consistent schedule that works for your availability). RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and schedule engaging social media content (goal: multiple Facebook posts weekly).
- Monitor social media posts and advertising campaign performance; convert data into meaningful reports and actionable recommendations for future opportunities.
- Establish and maintain a cohesive brand look and feel across all social platforms.
- Provide regular updates to project stakeholders, communicating progress clearly and concisely.
- Assist with monthly promotions, sales announcements, and community engagement updates.
- Prepare content for mailers and other marketing materials.
- Work on-site with the team to learn the business and customer base.
- Assist with event-related marketing and occasional travel to community locations or campuses.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
- Strong interest in social media marketing and has experience with current social media trends.
- Ability to create visually cohesive social media content (portfolio required).
- Comfortable working in an agricultural environment; experience a plus but not required.
- Strong communication skills, creativity, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.; normal sitting, standing, and bending required.
- 25% local/regional travel required
