Utilities Control Operator
Location: North Chicago, IL – Onsite
Contract: 6 months contract duration with the potential to go from contract to permeant hire for the right candidate
Shift: 3rd Shift fulltime, 7PM – 7AM, 4 days,
Automated Systems, Inc. is looking for a Utilities Control Operator for a 6 month contract with a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing client in North Chicago, IL. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring smooth operations by monitoring critical utility infrastructure and overseeing plant utilities, including water, steam, compressed air, liquid nitrogen, electrical power, and HVAC systems. Job Responsibilities:
· Monitor equipment for performance and alarm conditions
· Troubleshoot problems with utilities and partner with maintenance staff to resolve issues
· Operate and participate in startup, maintenance, and shutdown of utility equipment
· Perform all necessary quality checks
· Complete required documentation in a timely and accurate manner
· Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performance
Education and Experience Requirements:
· Minimum of a high school diploma or GED, preferred education - technical diploma, associate degree, or military training
· Experience in a manufacturing and/or production environment preferred
· Mechanical/technical experience in manufacturing or related fields preferred
· Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or other regulated industries.
· Military experience a plus
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to work in industrial environments, including climbing ladders, working at heights, and wearing PPE
· Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and standing/walking for extended periods
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
