Job Description
Role Summary
ASD is seeking a strategic and process driven individual to support our ASD IT Logistics Center, providing hardware on-site support for the Service Desk as well as shipping and receiving support for multiple clients.
The candidate will support scanning incoming and outgoing product shipments as well as imaging and setting up systems for Service Desk analysts and other internal ASD users. The candidate will work daily on-site in Huntsville, Alabama.
This position will require the candidate to provide technical support to include, but is not limited to, the following areas:
Closed Circuit Television
Tablets
Time Clocks
Service Now
Windows 10 and 11 operating systems
Microsoft and Google products
Candidate(s) shall stay informed of all changes to Logistics Center processes and procedures. In addition, the candidate(s) must maintain records of time entries. Previous technical experience with computer hardware is highly desired.
Key Responsibilities
Candidate(s) must possess the following:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Must be decisive, conscientious and interact well in a team environment
Have a strong desire to learn and ability to follow policies and procedures
Must have a strong working knowledge of and experience with computer hardware and peripheral devices in a diverse environment
Must be self-motivated and self-driven
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Able to work in a fast paced environment.
Preferred Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
An Associate degree in a Technical or Computer Discipline or related field is preferred.
1-2 years of experience preferred with:
Enterprise level Help Desk
Onsite Support
Experience with CCTV is strongly preferred
Desired Skills/Certifications:
Windows 10 and 11 operating systems
Certification(s) preferred but not mandatory
CompTIA Security , MCITP (Enterprise Desktop Support Technician), A , HDI Desktop Support Technician
Additional Requirements:
Able to work Monday - Friday, anytime between the hours of 7AM and 6PM CST as needed.
Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
Ability to work while standing or moving for extended periods.
