Employment Type: 6-month Contract-to-Hire
Compensation: Up to $45/hour, depending on experience

Position Overview
As a Mechanical Assembly Technician, you will build, integrate, test, and troubleshoot complex, precision mechanical hardware in a structured production environment. Success in this role means consistently producing quality builds by accurately following the build package, identifying issues early, and driving problems to resolution with minimal supervision. You will work hands-on with detailed technical documentation and maintain strong process discipline around safety, cleanliness, and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Build and integrate complex mechanical assemblies using detailed work instructions, assembly procedures, and travelers
- Execute mechanical sub-assemblies and final assemblies by correctly selecting parts from Bills of Material (BOMs) and confirming configuration prior to build
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and assembly documentation to ensure accurate fit, alignment, and component installation
- Perform mechanical troubleshooting during assembly and test by diagnosing leaks, fitment issues, tolerance stack-ups, and assembly defects
- Drive rework and corrective actions by documenting build discrepancies, communicating findings clearly, and supporting resolution through closure
- Maintain build documentation and quality records with strong attention to detail and traceability in a production/manufacturing setting
- Follow established quality procedures and process controls to deliver consistent, repeatable hardware builds that meet acceptance criteria
- Support hands-on testing activities by preparing hardware, verifying assembly readiness, and resolving mechanical issues found during validation
Required Skills:
- 4 years of hands-on precision mechanical assembly and integration experience involving build, integration, testing, and troubleshooting of complex hardware
- Experience reading and following detailed work instructions, assembly procedures, and build documentation to execute assemblies correctly
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and Bills of Material (BOMs)
- Experience working in structured production or manufacturing environments while adhering to travelers, quality procedures, and documentation requirements
- Demonstrated mechanical troubleshooting skills, including diagnosing leaks, fitment issues, tolerance problems, and assembly defects
Preferred Skills:
- Hands-on experience using torque tools, hand tools, fixtures, jigs, and measurement equipment to assemble and verify precision hardware
Pay: Up to $45.00 per hour
