Position Overview

Automated Industrial Machine is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to support the growth of our Automation Press product line. This role blends engineering expertise with strategic sales execution, serving as a key link between customers, the sales team, and tooling engineers.

You will analyze market trends, optimize sales processes, and develop tailored technical solutions that drive customer satisfaction and long-term business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop solutions for new and existing customers from our portfolio of automation presses
  • Assist with standard catalogue products and products requiring minor modifications for specific product or process applications
  • Create technical concepts and drawings to support sales proposals
  • Communicate all technical documentation
  • Bill of Materials (BOMs)
  • Interpretation of test data
  • Serve as a technical liaison between customers, sales teams, and tooling engineers
  • Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for strategic growth
  • Optimize sales processes to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Support product and process development initiatives
  • Manage the full technical sales cycle from inquiry to order execution
  • Assist potential customers through the technical evaluation process
  • Evaluate client manufacturing requirements and process constraints
  • Align product offerings to specific customer technical requirements
  • Develop engineered solutions from our automation press portfolio
  • Support standard catalogue products and systems requiring minor modifications

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Industrial experience in a related industry
  • Industrial equipment
  • Automated machinery
  • Experience in customer-facing roles
  • Technical sales
  • Application engineering
  • Customer support/service

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
