Warehouse Associate / Manager – Access Overhead Door

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate with leadership capabilities to join our team at Access Overhead Door, a trusted provider of overhead door solutions. This position includes general warehouse duties as well as oversight of daily warehouse operations, inventory control, and coordination with installation teams and vendors. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on warehouse skills with basic management abilities to ensure smooth and efficient warehouse performance.
Key Responsibilities:
General Warehouse Duties:
- Load and unload materials, including garage doors, door sections, track, springs, openers, and related hardware.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Stage jobs and prepare materials for next-day installations.
- Assist installers and technicians by staging materials and pulling parts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Conduct cycle counts and support inventory audits.
- Prepare and document daily deliveries and outgoing shipments.
Warehouse Management Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day warehouse activities to ensure workflow efficiency and accuracy.
- Supervise and support warehouse staff as needed, including training and task delegation.
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder stock or materials to avoid shortages.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipping/receiving logs, and job staging.
- Communicate with installation crews and office staff to coordinate job prep.
- Implement and enforce warehouse safety protocols and company policies.
- Communicate with vendors, installers, and office staff to streamline operations.
- Assist in developing process improvements for warehouse logistics and material handling.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2–4 years of warehouse or logistics experience, preferably in the construction or overhead door industry.
- Prior experience in a lead or supervisory warehouse role is a strong plus.
- Proficient with inventory management systems and basic computer skills.
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to lift 75 lbs and perform physical work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license; DOT medical card a plus.
Work Environment:
- Warehouse and yard environment with indoor and outdoor exposure.
- Requires frequent lifting, standing, and movement throughout the day.
- PPE required and provided.
- Occasional early mornings or overtime based on project needs.
