Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Automated Gate Technician to join our field team. In this role, you will install, service, and troubleshoot a wide range of automated gate systems for residential, commercial, and industrial clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and program automated gate systems (sliding, swinging, barrier arms, etc.)
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical components
- Perform routine maintenance on gates and access control systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Maintain accurate job records, reports, and inventory
- Communicate professionally with clients, contractors, and team members
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company standards
- Proven experience with automated gates, access control, or similar systems
- Strong understanding of electrical wiring, low-voltage systems, and basic mechanical skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and diagrams
- Valid driver’s license
- Comfortable working outdoors
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Certification from IDEA, DoorKing, LiftMaster, FAAC, or similar
- Experience with welding or fabrication
