What are the responsibilities and job description for the Painter position at AUTOGATE INC?
Summary: Operates Graco ProMix 2KE proportioner and manual spray-painting equipment to apply industrial paint finishes on metal products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include but are not limited to the following:
• Applies coatings (Primer/Topcoat) to frames, operators, gates, stock parts, and other accessories per work order
• Thoroughly cleans spraying equipment with proper cleaning agents when finished spraying
• Fills all pressure pots when needed to ensure continuous painting
• Changes booth filters on a regular basis
• Assists the Paint Prep Technician when needed
• Follows daily / weekly department schedule to ensure proper products are coated
• Maintains good general housekeeping, a clean and safe work environment free of open containers, wiping rags, empty paint cans, etc.
• Ensures quality inspections are complete before product leave the booth
• Follows all HazMat policies per training received
• Assists with quarterly booth maintenance around production needs.
• Follows all safety rules for the Paint Department
• Other duties may be assigned
Additional Responsibilities:
• Responsible for tracking and logging all primer, paint and thinner used within the department

• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time while meeting deadlines.
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training in similar environment. Ability to read and interpret documents, instructions, and procedure manuals; above average oral and verbal communication skills, math skills and the ability to read a tape measure to the 32nd’s of an inch.
