Automotive Technician - Diagnosis/Heavy-Line (no diesel)

Autodoc has been under new management for nearly a year now and a lot of improvements have and are happening both for the customer and the staff. We are booked weeks out and are well organized, so we feel we're prepared to take on 2 full-time technicians in the near-term.

Led by an extremely experienced service advisor, master technician and business developer, the business is poised for reliable growth. We believe in a good quality of life, tough love and honest, hard work.

In a technician, we are seeking:

• Genuine experience as a commercial technician and mechanic
• Good communication and people skills
• A non-specific skillset that is comfortable with a wide range of vehicle manufacturers
• Experience with and a desire to perform Heavy-Line work -- engine/transmission swaps, timing chains, major seal kits, etc
• Familiarity with AUTEL & Snap-on diagnosis ecosystems
• The ability to diagnose issues (or the ability to take instruction)
• Most importantly, the ability to ask for help

Responsibilities

• Conduct a diagnosis or act on a supervisor's using OEM schematics, documents and aftermarket tools
• Perform heavy-line repairs
• Perform general foreign & domestic service as needed
• Comfortably use air & power tools to execute repairs efficiently and safely.
• Consistently perform repairs to manufacturer specifications
• Assist in auto estimating procedures by accurately assessing repair needs and communicating effectively with service advisor

Experience

• Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and heavy-line repairs
• Familiarity with programming, schematics reading, automotive electrical systems, and vehicle alignment
• Hands-on experience working on GM vehicles or similar makes is preferred but not mandatory
• Prior experience with Mitchell One is helpful

*note that less experienced applicants will be considered for alignment rack, oil change, brake job and tire mount work
