Job Summary
Directly supervises a varying number of union employees in the Construction and Tryout departments. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities
- Directs and coordinates die activities including new die construction, tryout, die repair and production press stamping support.
- Responsible for staffing decisions
- Responsible for quality, costs and timing
- Health and safety requirements
- Employee relations
- Providing technical direction and support
- Development of work plans
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience in manufacturing environments with a focus on tool and die making
- Associates Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred
- Supervisory experience of at least three years preferred.
- Journeyman Diemaker
- Time management skills
- Conflict resolution skills
- Oral and written communication skills
