What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bus Driver position at Autobuses Ejecutivos?
Bus Drivers drive diesel bus units and transport passengers within or between cities. All Bus Drivers keep records such as the distance traveled, driving time, etc in log books. They also report any mechanical problems or major needed repairs. Bus Drivers may keep the bus clean and may make minor repairs while on board.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License with a ‘P’ endorsement
- For insurance purposes, Bus Drivers must be at least 23 years of age
- Must have 2 years experience in over-the-road driving
- Knowledgeable about DOT rules and regulations
- Must be able to pass a medical health examination
- Must have good driving record
- Bilingual is a plus
Basic Duties and Responsibilities
- Work and drive an over-the-road bus unit accordingly while following DOT rules and regulations
- Perform pre-trip evaluations on the scheduled bus unit prior to departure
- Plan punctual departures and arrivals from and to destinations
- Practice good customer service skills by being courteous, helpful and friendly to passengers
- Document all reports and maintain receipts and report all work related expenses
- Keep track of and maintain Log Book
- Record Trip Sheets for the Payroll Department
- Perform other driving duties related to this field as assigned by the Traffic Manager
