Recruiter

AWC is hiring a Direct Hire Recruiter for our Wentzville MO location. This position will be a 6 month contract with possible extension or contract to hire and we pay weekly plus an amazing benefits program!

This position will be hybrid so 3 days in the office and 2 working remotely weekly. You will be responsible for the recruiting efforts of 5 Midwest automotive logistics locations. This position will be responsible for the Staff (non union) and Production/labor (union) positions- full cycle hiring. This position requires travel to those locations as needed.

Summary of position:

The recruiter is responsible for delivering and supporting recruiting success for assigned facilities.

Essential Functions, Duties & Tasks:

• Meeting with managers to discuss needs.
• Assist and/or facilitate hiring events at local hotels as required
• Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; maintaining rapport.
• Determines applicant qualifications by studying job description
• Attracts applicants by placing job advertisements; contacting recruiters, using newsgroups and job sites.
• Determines applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants; analyzing responses; comparing qualifications to job requirements.
• Arranges management interviews by coordinating schedules.
• Evaluates applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers; interviewing applicants on consistent set of qualifications.
• Lead the creation of a recruiting and interviewing plan for each open position.
• Efficiently and effectively fill open positions.
• Conduct regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation.
• Coordination of on boarding process ; offer, coordination of pre-employment testing through on-site support, completion of background checks and coordination of orientation with hiring managers.
• Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need.
• Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
• Build networks to find qualified passive candidates.
• Post openings in newspaper advertisements, with professional organizations, and in other position appropriate venues as approved.
• Utilize the Company's Isolved Application Tracking System for all recruitment efforts.
• Conducts Phone Screen and/or Face to Face Interviews with candidates; determine suitability of candidates for employment based on the Company's Hiring Policy.
• Act as liaison with area employment agencies, preparation and liaison with advertising agencies, processing and checking advertising agency billings, liaison with, and recording status of authorized positions within the corporations, employment verifications, and employee referral program.
• Completion of weekly report on employment activity on hires.
• Process new hire background checks, track status and send results through for approvals
• Aid public relations in establishing a recognizable "employer of choice" reputation for the company, both internally and externally empathizing benefits and perks.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

• Ability to grasp Federal and State Employment Laws and Regulations
• Comfortable with performing complex projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to get along with diverse personalities on all levels of the organization. Be tactful, mature and flexible.
• Possess Attention to Detail and be results driven
• Intermediate to Advance level skills with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Comfortable with performing complex projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities.
• Good reasoning abilities.
• Be results and team oriented, but have sound judgment to balance all considerations.
• Resourceful and organized.

Education, Experience & Minimum Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in recruitment or related experience in HR.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related experience
• Intermediate to advanced level skills with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Excellent interpersonal skills & ability to get along with diverse populations
• Ability to work flexible schedule and travel to locations assigned.
• Ability to manage and administer a broad range of tasks including managing recruiting efforts within a location.
• Ability to prepare comprehensive recruiting: hiring reports and correspondences, and presentations to senior leadership as required.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Ability to travel by car, train, or airplane to remote locations.​
