Job Summary:
Auto-Valve is the world leader for aerospace and defense valves. Auto-valve currently has over 1,400 active valve designs in production providing opportunities for new engineering challenges daily. We are rapidly growing our legacy and new business revenue.
We are seeking an experienced design engineer for a newly created position. A minimum of 7 years of design engineering background would be ideal.
Main responsibilities:
· Design and Development of aircraft system valves.
· Conceptualizing, designing, developing, testing, and supporting new valve designs to meet customer requirements.
· Hands-on prototype building and testing, performance testing, and environmental/qualification testing.
· Support of existing (legacy) valves including re-design, manufacturability, and quality support.
Design Experience with mechanical valves is an advantage.
Background in fuel valves, hydraulics, Aerospace and Mil-Spec products, project management, Design For Manufacturability, managing multiple projects, and/or fuel system knowledge an advantage. Experience with electro-mechanical design a plus.
Ideal candidate aspires to advance into an engineering Director position within 3-5 years.
The position is on-site, with our offices located Northwest of Dayton Ohio.
