Commercial Fleet Business Development Representative
Auto Truck Service is a locally owned automotive repair company specializing in light- and medium-duty fleet maintenance and collision repair. Our business has grown primarily through strong relationships with commercial fleet operators who rely on us to keep their vehicles operating reliably.
We are looking for someone to help identify and connect with local companies that operate vehicle fleets. The focus of this position is researching fleets, building initial relationships, and arranging meetings with fleet decision makers.
This is not a typical sales role. The primary responsibility is identifying qualified fleet prospects and opening the door for company leadership to discuss technical service solutions.
Responsibilities
- Identify local companies operating fleets of 25 vehicles
- Research and build a list of target fleet operators within the Minneapolis area
- Visit businesses and fleet facilities to introduce our company
- Identify maintenance managers, operations managers, or fleet decision makers
- Learn how those fleets currently manage vehicle maintenance and repair
- Determine whether they may benefit from our services
- Schedule meetings between qualified prospects and company ownership
- Maintain an organized pipeline of fleet prospects and contacts
- Represent Auto Truck Service professionally when interacting with local businesses
What Success Looks Like
- Visit 8-12 fleet facilities or commercial businesses per week
- Build relationships with fleet decision makers
- Schedule qualified meetings with prospective fleet customers
- Maintain an organized list of target fleets and follow-up activity
Ideal Candidate
- Comfortable initiating conversations with businesses you have never worked with before
- Persistent and self-motivated
- Organized and capable of managing a list of target companies
- Comfortable working independently and spending most of the week in the field
- Background in automotive, construction, equipment, or service industries is helpful but not required
- Outside sales, service advisor, or parts industry experience is beneficial
Compensation
- Base salary plus performance bonuses
- Bonuses tied to qualified fleet meetings and new fleet accounts
- Mileage reimbursement for business travel

Work Environment
This position is primarily field-based, involving travel throughout the Minneapolis area to visit businesses, contractor yards, and fleet facilities.

Candidates who advance in the hiring process may be asked to identify several local companies operating commercial fleets as part of the interview process.
Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
