Responsibilities
- Diagnose vehicle issues using automotive diagnostic tools and schematics, including complex systems such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and electrical systems.
- Perform repairs on powertrain components, transmissions, vehicle suspension systems, and vehicle transmission systems to restore optimal function.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and alignment services to ensure vehicle longevity.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams accurately for electrical repairs and system troubleshooting.
- Repair diesel engines and perform welding tasks as needed to support various repair projects.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and automotive repair equipment efficiently to complete repairs with precision.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures, estimating costs, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
Skills
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and understanding vehicle systems for accurate troubleshooting.
- Extensive knowledge of ADAS technology, automotive electrical systems, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Mechanical knowledge of powertrain components, transmissions, suspension systems, and vehicle transmission system repair.
- Hands-on experience with automotive electrical systems, wiring diagram interpretation, and auto estimating software.
- Skilled in using automotive diagnostic tools along with power tools and hand tools for efficient repairs.
- Ability to work on GM vehicles or similar brands with a focus on quality workmanship and safety standards.
