Service Writer Trainee

We're looking for a motivated Service Writer Trainee to join our growing auto repair shop team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, wants to learn the automotive service industry, and is looking to build a long-term career.

As a Service Writer Trainee, you will work directly with our Store Manager and receive hands-on, on-the-job training. No previous service writing experience is required—we're looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Learn how to greet customers and provide excellent customer service.
• Assist with scheduling appointments and checking in vehicles.
• Learn to prepare repair estimates and explain services to customers.
• Communicate with technicians regarding vehicle repairs and maintenance.
• Keep customers informed throughout the repair process.
• Maintain accurate repair orders and customer records.
• Help ensure a smooth and organized daily workflow.

Qualifications

• Friendly, professional, and dependable.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Interest in the automotive industry.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
