Automotive Mechanic

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automotive Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Duties

• Conduct comprehensive diagnostics using advanced automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostic tools to identify issues quickly and accurately.
• Perform repairs on various mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components.
• Execute routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to uphold safety standards.
• Repair and replace complex components like diesel engines, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brakes, and other heavy equipment systems.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and mechanical knowledge to complete repairs efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
• Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems effectively.
• Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction with all automotive services performed.

Experience

• Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with a strong background in dealership or independent shop settings.
• Demonstrated expertise in automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems repair, transmission repair, and vehicle maintenance.
• Familiarity with ADAS calibration, diesel engine repair, heavy equipment mechanics, and automotive electrical systems is highly desirable.
• Hands-on experience with GM vehicles or similar makes is a plus but not required.
• Knowledge of auto estimating processes and experience working with various hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized diagnostic software.
• Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose issues swiftly and accurately.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards for every repair performed.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
