Duties
- Manage daily shop operations, including scheduling, workflow coordination, and quality control to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of service technicians and mechanics, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and company standards
- Oversee vehicle repairs and maintenance services such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, alignments, suspension work, tire services, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repairs
- Conduct automotive diagnostics to accurately identify issues and recommend effective solutions
- Handle auto estimating and service writing to provide transparent quotes and detailed repair explanations to customers
- Upsell additional services or parts when appropriate to enhance customer value and shop revenue
- Maintain accurate cash handling records and manage parts inventory efficiently
- Foster excellent customer service by addressing client concerns promptly and professionally
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards across the shop
Experience
- Proven dealership experience or extensive background in auto service management with a track record of leading successful automotive teams
- Strong mechanic experience with comprehensive knowledge of automotive diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance procedures
- Familiarity with auto estimating software, service writing practices, and automotive repair workflows
- Demonstrated ability in upselling services while maintaining integrity and customer trust
- Experience in managing various automotive systems including transmissions, air brakes, alignments, suspensions, tire services, diesel engines, shocks & struts, brake systems, and auto body repairs
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients
- Prior experience handling cash transactions confidently and accurately
- Knowledge of dealership operations combined with a passion for automotive excellence will set you apart
