Fine Tune Auto is a family-owned, multi-location automotive repair company in Northwest Indiana. We're continuing to grow and are looking for skilled Automotive Technicians to join our team.

We're especially interested in technicians who are strong in diagnostics, electrical, drivability, and complex problem solving. If you're the technician other people come to when a vehicle has a difficult problem, we want to talk to you.

Serious About Diagnostics

We don't believe good diagnostic technicians should have to fight inadequate equipment, outdated information, or a lack of support.

Our shops have invested in the technology needed to properly diagnose today's vehicles, including:

• OEM diagnostic software for many manufacturers
• In-house module programming capabilities
• PicoScope diagnostic equipment
• Advanced electrical and drivability diagnostic tools
• Modern John Bean alignment equipment
• Modern John Bean tire machines and wheel balancers
• Manufacturer-specific and specialty tools
• Continually updated diagnostic equipment and technology

Advanced diagnostic ability is a major plus.

We're particularly interested in technicians experienced with electrical diagnosis, drivability problems, network and communication faults, intermittent concerns, scope-based testing, and other difficult vehicle problems.

You don't have to be a diagnostic specialist to apply. Strong general repair technicians who want to continue developing their diagnostic abilities are also encouraged to talk with us.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose and repair a wide variety of vehicle systems
• Perform engine, transmission, suspension, brake, HVAC, electrical, and drivability repairs
• Use modern scan tools, OEM software, scopes, and other diagnostic equipment to accurately identify vehicle problems
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship
• Work with service advisors and other technicians to keep jobs moving efficiently
• Assist and mentor less experienced technicians when appropriate
• Maintain a clean and professional work environment
• Participate in ongoing technical training and development

• Professional automotive repair experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Diagnostic and electrical experience is highly valued
• Pride in performing accurate, high-quality work
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Willingness to continue learning as vehicle technology evolves
• ASE certifications are a plus, but not required
